Floristry Tutor (Level 2)

Location: Bolton College
Term: Temporary – until 3rd July 2026
Hours: 15–20 hours per week
Pay Rate: £22.68 – £28.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: Term 3

DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS will be required for this role

Position Overview

Bolton Talent Solutions, in partnership with Bolton College, is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Floristry Tutor to deliver high‑quality teaching to Level 2 students.

You will deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based sessions across a range of floristry topics, helping learners develop industry-standard skills in design, techniques, tools, and customer service. This role is ideal for someone with strong vocational floristry experience and a passion for developing the next generation of floral professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons for Level 2 Floristry students
  • Teach corefloristry skills including:
    • Hand‑tied bouquets
    • Floral arrangements
    • Event and wedding floristry
    • Design principles and colour theory
    • Safe use of floristry tools and equipment
    • Customer service and commercial practice
  • Prepare learners for practical assessments and portfolio development
  • Ensure all teaching materials meet awarding body requirements
  • Provide constructive feedback and track learner progress
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment
  • Contribute to course planning, marking, and general administrative duties
  • Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and equality and diversity standards

Key Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, AET/PTLLS) — or willingness to work towards one
  • Level 3 or higher qualification in Floristry (or extensive industry experience)
  • Experience delivering floristry training in FE, adult learning, or workplace settings
  • Strong practical floristry skills and confidence demonstrating techniques
  • Understanding of floristry industry standards, trends, and commercial practice
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
